Termite control and inspection in Greenville, SC
Most people who have termites have never seen one. A $99 inspection tells you where you actually stand, and it credits straight to your service if you decide to move forward.
Not sure what you're looking at? Text us a photo. We'll tell you for free, and we'd rather tell you it's ants.
South Carolina is a termite state, whether or not anyone told you
Eastern subterranean termites want warm humid summers, mild winters, clay soil that holds moisture, and houses built over crawlspaces. That is a fairly precise description of Greenville.
Which is why termite protection here behaves more like gutter cleaning than like an emergency, it is maintenance, and the cost of skipping it shows up in framing rather than in a bill. Homeowners insurance almost never covers termite damage, and a colony works quietly for years before anything looks wrong.

An in-ground station, set flush at the foundation line. Once installed, you stop noticing them.
How to tell whether you have termites
Swarmers near a window or door
Small dark winged insects, usually in spring, often found dead on a windowsill. Straight antennae and two pairs of wings the same length mean termites, not flying ants.
Discarded wings in a small pile
Swarmers shed their wings once they've picked a spot. A drift of translucent wings on a sill or caught in a spiderweb is one of the most reliable early signs.
Mud tubes on the foundation
Pencil-width tunnels of packed dirt running up brick, block or a crawlspace pier. Subterranean termites build them to stay out of open air.
Hollow or papery-sounding wood
Tap baseboards, door frames and crawlspace joists. Termites eat from the inside out, so a surface can look perfect while the wood behind it is gone.
Floors that flex, doors that stick
A spongy spot in a floor or a door that suddenly won't close square can mean damage in the framing underneath.
Bubbling or cracked paint
Paint that looks water-damaged with no water source usually means moisture and activity behind the surface.
Seen one of these? Text us a photo before you spend a weekend worrying about it. Half the photos we get turn out to be flying ants, and we are happy to say so.
Bait stations, not a day of drilling
The old approach is trenching your foundation and injecting a chemical barrier. It works, and it is also a loud, disruptive day that involves drilling through slab and digging up planting beds.
We install Trelona® bait stations at intervals around your foundation instead. Foraging termites find them, carry the bait back, and it moves through the colony. Then the stations stay in the ground and keep monitoring, so if something new shows up in three years, you hear about it early instead of finding it yourself.
Trelona is the highest-rated termite bait system on the market, and it is the only one we install. Plenty of companies reach for a cheaper product, or for a rental system where the stations are leased rather than owned. We would rather spend more on the product and know the job was done right, because what you are actually buying is sleeping well at night knowing your home is safe.

Trelona® is the highest-rated termite bait system available, and it is the only one we install.
A lot of companies reach for something cheaper, or for a rental system where the stations around your foundation are leased rather than owned outright. It costs them less per house. It is not what we would want under our own homes.
So we spend more on the product and do the job right the first time, because the thing you are actually paying for is sleeping well at night knowing your house is safe.
